Luhman named Assistant Principal

Chad Luhman

Chad Luhman has been named Assistant Principal at George Rogers Clark High School.


With a passion for education and a commitment to student success, Mr. Luhman brings years of experience in fostering positive learning environments.


His dedication to supporting both students and staff makes him an invaluable addition to our school community. 


Previously, Mr. Luhman was the Principal at Danville High School and worked as an Assistant Principal at Lexington Traditional Magnet Middle School in Fayette County.


He has served in the education field for 20 years, including 11 years as a high school social studies educator. He earned his Bachelor's of Arts in Education and Educational Administration Master's from Eastern Kentucky University. 


A native of Richmond, Mr. Luhman attended and played sports at Madison Central High School and has enjoyed sharing athletic experiences with his twin daughters. He now focuses on softball and basketball with his daughters. Growing up in a family and community that valued education helped shape the vision for connecting his passion with a career. 


Early in his teaching profession he taught U.S. History, Civics, World History and multiple Social Studies electives, as well as coaching football, basketball, and baseball. His experiences in school leadership have helped him adopt a restorative approach to building relationships with students and staff. Helping others achieve their goals and find their passion is a priority.
